Your GP needs to know so you can be offered the right information, support and access to services. GP surgeries have to compile information for the government about the numbers of carers attached to the surgery so your information will help them to do this.
Young Carers
- Do you help to look after a member of your family, who is ill or disabled, or who uses drugs or alcohol?
- Do you take on responsibility for things that would normally be done by an adult?
- If you answered yes to these questions then you probably are a young carer.
